Welcome
Thorpe Cloud visible from the start of the walk

Looking down the River Dove

Most of the stepping stones were submerged today

Mark crossing the stones

Ascending Thorpe Cloud

Thorpe Cloud summit peak

Mark at the top

Looking down from Thorpe Cloud to the valley floor

Descending a steep track

Looking back from a detour near Lover's Leap

and looking ahead from that same detour

Tissington Spires

another rock spire on the other side of the river

Natural Arch

A boarded walkway with the river rushing by

Dove Holes

Looking back

Bridge at Milldale

The sign for this route said it was difficult and impassable after heavy rain. It was steep, slippery and in some places we were in the river. Good fun though.

Mark in one of the sloppy areas

and here he is desperately trying to keep his feet dry

IIam Rock and bridge construction

Dove wood to the left ,Thorpe Cloud and Air cottage at the back

Approach to Bunster Hill

Mark making his way along the Bunster Hill peaks

Thorpe Cloud from Bunster Hill

We chose the very steep descent off Bunster Hill down to the River Dove. Bums polished the ground in places and the effort of trying to stay upright was felt at the bottom

Phew! Back at the bottom without any falls

Last look back at Dove Dale
