Here's one we have been hoping to do for a while now. The ascent route we took was very steep but interesting at the same time. Finally got onto Great End, a summit I've passed by on several occasions whilst climbing to Scafell Pike. Another spot I've always bypassed was Seathwaite Fell so it was great to tick that one off too today.
setting out from seathwaite farm
we took the ascent route following hind gill. view out to taylorgill force
hind gill to the right of catherine
the route up wasn't always obvious and occasionally included some very light scrambling
seathwaite farm below. we didn't see anyone else choosing this route today
the cloud slowly starting to lift and revealing keswick and derwent water to the north
storm shelter at the top of glaramara. not much else to see at this point
a small patch of blue sky. would there be more to follow?
above hind side looking out to great end and great gable. both looking like their summits were clearing.
